This is a bug in Webmin 1.670 :-(
The code fix can be seen at https://github.com/webmin/webmin/commit/cf81202d1eab1ba61c375f5786199955d14f16f9
I will likely release an official fix in a day or two.
I tried applying the changes from GitHub. I no longer see the said error but see this instead:
Failed to save group : Failed to write to acl::GROUP : Bad file descriptor
There was another fix needed : https://github.com/webmin/webmin/commit/aaf7f55addba506e9f1ad40ca0970d0f072fd3dd
That did it. Thanks!

#4344Hi Jamie,
I have installed the updated Module for Webmin Users and I still have the problem also.
I'm running AIX 6.1
Is there any other fix coming down the pike for this issue?
thanks.
I am still seeing it on my AWS Instance running latest everything. What am I missing?
The 1.675 devel version from http://www.webmin.com/devel.html includes a fix for this issue.
Jamie,
Do we have any ETA for that to move from dev to prod?
A full release with this fix will be out by the end of the week.
