hello

nsswitch.conf is used for more than NIS - can be used for LDAP, BDB files, DNS, etc.
These are managed in the section Client Services inside NIS Client and Server module.
excerpt:

/etc/nsswitch.conf

Example configuration of GNU Name Service Switch functionality.

If you have the glibc-doc-reference' andinfo' packages installed, try:

`info libc "Name Service Switch"' for information about this file.

Users wanting to purge NIS modules can't remove NIS Client and Server module, unless they don't want to edit nsswitch.conf from webmin.

so, proposing new module for nsswitch.conf, named "Name Service Switch"

That's a good suggestion. Although the same functionality exists in the "LDAP Client" module, so you can still configure these settings even if you aren't using NIS.
