Hi All,

I am running webmin 1.56 on AIX.

When I add a user locally, that works fine and dandy.

When I try to add a user using the Cluster User and groups function, The user is added locally, but the remote just times out. When I look at the logs on the remote server, there is no indication in there that it has even tried to add the user.

Just to be sure, I have reset all of the passwords, removed the servers from the cluster and added them again to ensure that this was not the problem.

As I test I can run the Cluster shell commands with no problem.

Is the cluster user and groups supposed to work on AIX 5.3, or am I flogging a dead horse?

If it is supposed to work, where can I go from here?

Thank you
Drew

It should work on AIX .. I presume both the local and remote systems are running AIX?

Does it just hang when adding a user, or do you get back some kind of timeout error .. and if so, what is the error exactly?

Do you perhaps have any firewall blocking ports 10000 to 10010 on the remote system? Those ports need to be open ..

Also, if you access Webmin directly on the remote system, can you add a user in the Users and Groups module?

None of these servers run a firewall.

If I use webmin on the remote sysrtem, adding the user works fine. I have tried it from each of the three servers, and all have the same issue.

If I use one of the other cluster functions they work fine.

    Cheers
    Drew
