#3983 Work with default sysklogd configuration
On ubuntu, the sysklogd package is installed rather than syslogd.
The system logs module is not available unless I configure it, but my system is set up with the defaults, so I would expect it to be set up automatically.
Let me know if I can help with more information, but I would guess its a case of comparing the two package config files.
Which Ubuntu version are you using there, and what changes did you make to the configuration of the System Logs module exactly?
