Hello,
Arch Linux is a great system. But it doesn't have any graphical configuration tools. I think Webmin would be a great stepping stone for new Arch users. Would it be possible to add a system type option to Webmin to work with Arch? The main differences of Arch are in the init system (very similar to BSD) and in the network interfaces configuration schema. It's all beautifully simple from the command line, and the config files are a model of simplicity. So hopefully it wouldn't be too hard to code this into Webmin.
Thanks very much for any consideration you might give to this request. Thanks, cheers!

Adding Arch Linux support is actually not so simple, as it requires that every module in webmin be updated to use the config file formats and locations that Arch uses. Someone familar with that distro would have to take this on ..

    Thanks for the reply jcameron!
Arch does offer a webmin package: http://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/i686/webmin/
The majority of the differences could be resolved by simply changing the search path for the config files. Most of the config files are standard. The main differences lie in the BSD-style init system and in the network interface system.

They have a package already? Cool ..

You should ask them to send their changes back upstream, so I can include them in Webmin..
