#2466 cannot create cron jobs

Hi,
I am trying to create cron jobs and the result is quite
erratic, sometime i manage to create one, but as soon
as i edit it and change it, it gets deleted. other
times i can not create the cron jobs at all (does not
appear in the list). I use a mozilla firefox browser
and the OS is Fedora Core 2.

Does it make any difference which user you create these cron
jobs for?
Also, after creating a job, does it show in the output from
the crontab -l command.
