The 1.200 (or 1.210) will not ugrade the 1.800 version in
the source for Madrake 10.2 (Mandriva LE2005).
On installation the script can`t determine OS and bangs
out. Even though the RPM installs it will not run. If you
need any files from a stock LE2005 installation let me
know.

I would be interested to know what is in the
/etc/mandriva-release , /etc/mandrake-release and /etc/issue
files on an LE2005 system.. that would let me add support
for this OS.

Thanks for the info - I will fix this in the next Webmin
release.
The short-term workaround is to edit /etc/issue and change
'Mandrakelinux' to 'Mandrake' .

Similar situation still exists trying to upgrade to 1.22. At first, the new release
seems to install, but 1.18 still is what you get when you run Webmin. Both
releases show up in an RPM query. You can delete both, but an install for 1.
22 then says that the software is already installed. You cannot stop and start
the service without getting a non-existent PID error, and access to Webmin
from a browser gives a "File Not Found" error. Forcing an upgrade back to the
1.18 release within the Mandrake distro (LE 2005 a/k/a 10.2) gets us back to
the 1.18 mode again with everything working. I've done this twice now with
pretty much the same results. Jack Peterson, registrar@jjpsoft.com.

Make sure you are upgrading to version 1.222 ,available from
http://www.webmin.com/devel.html .
Or failing that, un-install webmin and install version 1.220
, instead of trying an upgrade. Upgrading from other
vendor's packages can be unreliable anyway..
