#20 Telnet Login : emacs can't delete

I just migrated from Webmin 0.79 to 0.84.
When I log to my Linux 6.0 server using Telnet Login,
and when I try to use emacs to modify a file, I can't
delete characters in emacs !
The "del" key does not work.
It used to be OK with version 0.79.

Any idear ?

Have you tried setting different terminal types, for example
with
export TERM=vt100

Same problem when i try :

export TERM=vt100

the "del" key has no effect in emacs.

Actually, I have the same problem on my own system.
Unfortunately, the telnet applet was not written by me
so I cannot easily figure out what it is doing wrong.
Maybe a future version will fix this problem ..
