Yes, I agree...well, except for the slow/fast part but I understand not = having it as well. The only reason I was trying those new background = graphics in the 3 main options areas is because they are extremely = small. They are the same size as the 3 tiny graphics we already have. = Even though they are way larger they can be that small in filesize = because they are so faded. I understand if you still do not want them but would offer that I think = they spruce it up considerably and there are more ways I can decrease = the size including: 1) decrease the existing 3 graphics 2) probably decrease the 3 new ones further 3) possibly use one graphic in all 3 sections instead of 3 different = graphics. Don't like as much though. Anyway, just some thoughts but as I say I will understand if you do not = want... I definitely don't want to open the door up to all kinds of graphics = either for the reasons you have specified. This suggestion is purely an appeal/marketing issue. On top of having = the pictures there, they are also meant to link subliminally to the new = website banner pics which are the same. Hence instilling continuity and = branding. Please, lets not compromise on the 'lean and mean' philosophy. A user = may connect on a LAN and while away in some remote corner of the world = with a miserable connection. I'd prefer not to go down the track of fast = and slow connections. I'd rather the system was fast on a slow = connection and absolutely blazing on a fast one. Cleaned it up including = going through the css. Making sure the css validates at the same time! Besides the nuance changes to the interface, there are a few new = graphics, main area lines taken out and a new option so the user can set = connection speed. When set to "slow" none of the main graphics appear = and when "fast" they do appear. This is all tentative development found here for = now...http://weberp.gocom.ca/weberp2. Try changing the demo user connection speed to see graphics or not. Steve |
