I like the Idea of a Forum. One point would be if webERP had its own site. The you could link to sourceforge for the downloading, CVS repositories and email messages. But you could have Forum's that everyone could browse plus links to what Steve is talking about. You could also have a forum for Requested additions. If you need bandwidth or server space let me know. I would be happy to give it up for free. Or if you need help administering it, I'm a Certified RedHat Engineer. Subject: Re: [Web-erp-developers] Special Area I'm thinking what is needed is an area that you (and possibly others you designate) can maintain. An area that has a heading, description, attachment(s) and link(s). The admin(s) can modify the subject titles to that which everyone can recognize. Later it could be decided to group the ideas as they grow larger. As it gets larger it would be good to have a search mechanism. I guess what I'm basically describing is www.download.com but without a requirement on links or attachments although many would have. There could be better mechanisms but one that pops in my mind is an ideas/WIP/add-ons forum. Can't remember if forum software has the ability to store attachments though. I have installed, maintained and used phpbb in the past but not recently. Possibly sourceforge has something built in but it needs to store words because they will be what's most important for an ideas area. There may be software more suited to what I'm describing but I can't think of any. If we all put our heads together I think we can come up with something good that serves the purposes without too much work and trouble. Part of the point would be that some have ideas or knowledge related to webERP that others don't know about. If it was in that area others may take it to another level and soon you have something you can include. Kind of like what happened with the Multilanguage through the list but ideas not taken up and kept up immediately in the list can easily die and not be noticed later by others.
