Cons 1) Then there is basically no slowdown issue. That's good. 3) I meant to type tools, not tolls. I'm asking if all the tools for gettext will work perfectly with embedded variables. I'm thinking they would. Your suggestion is good and timely, Jesse, I guess I'm playing devil's advocate to explore all the questions ;) How much will it enhance what we're doing versus how much extra work, learning and potential for problems. Forget the printf's in my opinion!
