Great stuff! Borland rules!! What's MSX? I think I might have you = beat by age though. I started with TI99/4A and Timex/Sinclair ZX80 = before I got my Commodore 64. Here's some links... http://www.oldcomputers.net/zx81.html http://www.vex.net/~guru/ti/ti994nota.htm Lots of experience around this project I'd say!!! Just a different skill set. A skill set more = similar to mine than yours. Except I don't have XML, Flash or Delphi = experience. I have some other experience though ;) =20 Each one have their own skills. I developed mine as needed. Computers = are a passion of mine and today, although I use computers as a secondary = part in my profession (I am a International Sales Manager) they are = still a big deal in my life. I usually use those to help the companies = to develop their computer side and to improve the Company's efficiency.=20 =20 =D8 I can tell by the Borland C note that you are from my days, = Rom! Was Borland the best by far or what?!! =20 I started in the computers at the age of 11, when I got my first = commodore and a MSX. then I went to the Amiga and then at the same time = to PCs. I started programming basic and logo in the MSX. I got my first = job programming Borland C developing PDA like devices to the police of = my country (I was 17 in that time). Then I become passionate with = Borland C and DOS. Borland C is extremely powerful and I still recompile = some of my old stuff just for fun using Dos Box and FreeDOS some times. = I am no computer genius but I can make it work :D and the best of all: I = have fun doing it. As it is for me know a lot of fun doing this project = with you guys. =20 Best Regards, =20 Rom Pereira =20 ----- Original Message -----=20 From: Daintrees=20 To: web...@li...=20 Sent: Thursday, August 19, 2004 6:39 AM Subject: Re: [Web-erp-developers] how to join the project at = sourceforge =20 You are WAY more knowledgable than me! =20 Phil ----- Original Message -----=20 From: Rom Pereira=20 To: web...@li...=20 Sent: Thursday, August 19, 2004 12:06 AM Subject: RE: [Web-erp-developers] how to join the project at = sourceforge =20 Dear Phil and All, =20 Thank you for your welcome to the project. =20 Although I agree with you that this is fun, I always try to spend = my available time in something that can help others. And I know that a = software like this would help a lot of small companies that are starting = and do not have money to spent in expensive ERPs. As soon as we are done = with the translation I will try to spread this all around. Here in the = company we just adopted (unfortunately we are still using windows) = OpenOffice.org and we are very satisfied with the results. As far as I = know the future looks brighter and I will do everything I can so efforts = like this will grow and grow and software like Web-ERP will become an = everyday need.=20 =20 I am not the best php programmer, but I can do some coding and I = am sure that I will learn a lot here. I am always open to learn more and = I am not afraid of fixing mistakes of mine. Something I am good at is = producing GUIs that are small in size and have harmony and are pleasant = to look at. I try to keep it simple, as portable as I can and stable. I = am used to produce GUIs to Netscape/Mozilla/IE and compatible with = Windows/Mac OS/Linux. =20 So that you get acquainted with what I can do:=20 =20 Programming Skills: ----------------------------------------------------- C/C++ (mostly Console Borland C) VB HB++ (Palm) Delphi PHP Javascript (Browser and PDF) Some Java Flash Actionscript CSS HTML XML XHTML =20 Graphic Skills ----------------------------------------------------- Photoshop Illustrator Flash Image treating/optimizing =20 Some DB Skills (Mostly MySQL, MsSQL, Oracle), lot of Hardware = programming (like routers, firewalls and so on) and more computer = skills that I do not know if we can use in this project. =20 Sorry about the long email, =20 Thank you and best regards, =20 Rom Pereira =20 =20 -------------------------------------------------------------------------= - From: web...@li... = [mailto:web...@li...] On Behalf Of = Daintrees Sent: quarta-feira, 18 de agosto de 2004 03:52 To: web...@li...
