Hi Federico, So sorry you have had such a struggle to get going with the system. Many thanks for persevering and feeding back on the issues you are facing. Most pages are called with the session id already specified as the system variable SID. However, under linux there is no visible sign of the sessionid string in the link shown in the browser. I wonder if there may be a different default set up of php.ini for the windows vs the linux versions of PHP. I will look into this and report back. The register globals variable should be off - it is by default in versions of PHP since 4.1 I think. Some older systems requrie register globals to be on. I actually though it wouldn't matter if it was on or off. I know there is also a variable in php.ini that automatically sends the sessionid with each page to ensure sessions are propogated between pages - this should not be required to be set in my system since the session is explicitly stated in the links provided. If you are changing php.ini, after each modification to php.ini I think that apache will need to be restarted. Are these pages you have modified to send in a different way or are they standard pages being called with the sessionid spelt out in full in the browser?
