Phil We used godaddy for several years and it was very good, reasonable speed, reasonable price and reliable and then it all went bad and got so slow it was almost unuseable. We had a premium shared hosting account and my guess is that the server got so slow because too many accounts were hosted on it over time, or, one or two of the accounts were really taxing it. Anyway, we changed to hostgator which has been a major improvement. Complaints to godaddy about speed seem to go in circles and they kept saying that it must be our software (weberp). I am picking that hostgator may get too slow over time if they over sell space on the particular server we are on at the moment. It seems that it is hard to convince these companies to shift a site to server that is less stressed, best to just start a new account and shift when it happens.
