WCLP 0.5 Released

Ha! You thought we were just another abandoned Sourceforge project!
You were wrong! We are alive and well, and we have released version 0.5
of our installer. I don't think this version is quite ready for easy
server setup, but we are getting close.

This version of the installer features:
- ALSA module support
- A changed printing system -- lprng instead of pdq
- Lotsa games packages
- HTMLized documentation
- Improved security -- we reject everything and everyone! Including
you!

WCLP 0.4 released

The Working Centre Linux Project installer is now out. Most of the improvements have been incremental. See the CHANGELOG for details.

This version of the software is "release ready" in the sense that we are using it to install computers for real people.

WCLP 0.3 released

WCLP is a project to get easy-to-use, Windows-y Linux on the refurbished computers at our local Computer Recycling project. It consists of an automated, mostly-noninteractive installer, some manuals, and a selection of software that runs acceptably well on older machines.

Version 0.3 of the project features a new kernel, some improved class handling and some additions to the administrator's guide. At this point the installer on our server is more-or-less usable. The next step is to configure our software packages and improve the documentation dramatically.

WCLP Version 0.2 released

Our first public release of the installer is out. It probably is not functional for anybody else, although it works fine on our server. Think of it as a teaser trailer before we release something useful.

Why version 0.2? Because we had a pre-pre-release version ready before we joined Sourceforge. The next major version will be 0.3 .
