Hi Emil, Invert in WaveSurfer (which is available under the Transform menu) refers to flipping the sign of the samples in the waveform. This is the same meaning as in other audio editing software (e.g. Audacity). I'm guessing that you are thinking of some other kind of inversion such as acousitc-articulatory inversion of speech waveforms. I don't think it is claimed anywhere that WaveSurfer can do that?

All over Internet WaveSurfer is described as a program that can make inversion, wich it can not. It can make Audio invert, wich is completly different. We need to edit manuals, FAQ, Wikipedia and all other places to clear this up...

Hello, I wish to know what is the purpose of the flag "Average of selection" in the Spectrum section pop up. This does not seem to be present in the documentation. The spetrum section looks very different if you uncheck the flag. Thanks for the help! Padman, India

The error is with the 32bit version on a 64bit OS. The 64bit version of Wavesurfer does start up on a 64bit OS.
