just to report the current status: I have started digging into tensor
libraries, and found two, maybe three that look good on first view. The
status is shown on the corresponding ticket

Now the question: The last comment describes the use-cases that I can
think of. Does anyone of you have more ideas what should be
tested/could happen in typical cases?

PS: I want to point out that ticket for testing and mocking libraries
is still unassigned. I also specified the requirements in more detail.
