How did you check the format of the output files? Maybe we’re just writing the header in the wrong way? Checked the format of the files at the terminal with "file *.wav". Got it to work in audacity, though. |

Actually it should write it out in stereo, I’m pretty sure I did that a few times back when I was using it to split big wav files to be burned to audio CDs. Hello wavbreaker list. I have a large wav file of cd-audio, to be broken into smaller wav files, also of cd-quality recording. To burn the smaller files, each needs to be 16-bit, stereo, 44100hz audio. The original large file is 16-bit, stereo, 44100hz audio. The problem is that when passed to wavbreaker, the output seems to be 16-bit, mono, 44100hz audio. Plan is to use ffmpeg to convert the smaller files back to stereo. Seems like there should be an easier way, though. |
