WASS booking system error
Thanks Serge, I have passed on the info regarding WASE to our webteam. thougu I can't see WASE under the files tab, if WASE is now available it might be worth placing copy online. Regards. Sam
There is a newer system called WASE which supports iCal, and also direct Echange and Google calendar integration. Let me know a) who you are and b) if you are interested. much valued, I will look into this date change you suggested and let you know. are you saying there is a newer release that supports ical or emails to be in a format of outlook calendar invitation ? if so which release is this ? Regards. Sam
Ok, turns out that this release does not do ical. BUT, here’s how you can change the date format on notices and emails: Edit the waseAppointment.class.php file in the classes directory (you should first copy it to a safe place to recover in case you make an error). Look for the following lines: / Set up useful subject line / $subject = 'Appointment scheduled: ' . $this->name . ' with ' . $block->name . ' at ' . wassUtil::AmPm($this->starttime) . ' on ' . date('D',mktime(2,0,0,substr($this->date,5,2),substr($this->date,8,2),substr($this->date,0,4)))...
Hello Sege, really appreciate the response and sorry for my late reply ( I thought I would get email to notify me if someone responded to my help request). it is Release 4.1.2, and we are looking to change the date eon email notices/reminders. the email currently doesn't have outlook invitation, but if it can be added that would basically solve all our problems. look forward to hearing from you. Regards. Sam.
Sam, This is with wass 4.1.3? Let me know the specific context where you want to date changed (on display, or on email notices/reminders). Regarding Outlook integration, I vaguely recall that wass would include an iCal attachment in reminder/notification emails, and, depending on the recipient email client, that might end up as a calendar event, but I have’nt looked at wass in a while, so I will have to refresh my memory. Hello, how can we change the date format from mm/dd/yyy into dd/mm/yyyy ? when users receive appointment request they get a bit confused with the date format. also I wonder if formatting the email user receive into outlook calendar invitation instead of plain text is possible at all ? this is mainly to help end users avoid manual copy of appointment from wass into their personal outlook calendar, but instead they can just click on the accept button and this will copy the appointment into their personal...
Sorry to hear that you are having problems. The inability to get a response from an Ajax request is usually a result of a problem with the wassParms file. Check your configuration specifications. For example, did you configure an ldap server and, if so, is that server accessible? I have installed the software three times with the same results. I am able to Create Calendar and Define Blocks as owner. When I try to View Calendar as the owner or Make Appointment as a user, two drop down messages appear saying "Not able to retrieve response". The page displays "Loading..." below the month and year. I am running Local. Also, the Log Out link does not show when this occurs. The following is from the page source where, I assume, the calendar is suppose to be displayed,. <td align="left"...
