Reported with release of 1.2.2

When a saved campaign game is loaded there is a
game crash.

This has been tested and is repeatable but not
consistent.

A file can be loaded a number of ways. All have been
tried. The files open most of the time. There is a
failure rate of perhaps one in 10-20. Using Debug
does not identify any consistent cause fo failure.

See also comments on the news item. Eric is reporting
100% failure rate whereas other users report no failure.

More debug runs may indicate some recurring problems -
    see attached.

I got it crash when loading from within a game on the debug
version with Windows 2000, by doing the following:

Wait until the end of a day and a town event window was
    displayed.
Click the "load" icon and select a file. While waiting for
the load to complete I clicked "OK" on the town window.
After the game loaded then there was an illegal memory
exception caused by trying to execute the close window message.

This might have nothing to do with Eric's problem and may be
    a seperate bug.

Apart from this I was having no problems restoring saved
    campaigns.

I have emailed Eric to ask him to send a saved game that
crashes for him to try to determine if the problem might be
to do with saving rather than restoring, and perhaps relying
on the particular game options, or perhaps he is always
issuing a certain sequence of orders?
