The flow of many tests depends on the conformance
code of a property. Allow EPICS references to control
the execution of scripts by the support of a WRITE
parameter. Note that this proposed form of EPICS
references may only be used within IF expressions.
Proposed syntax:
IF ({<object identifier>,<property identifier>,
WRITE} = TRUE|FALSE)
This kind of EPICS reference does not access the
property value. It just checks if the referenced property
is followed by a W.
The use of such IF expressions within body scripts helps
to avoid unnecessary MAKE statements. In addition, the
utilization of this feature within parameter scripts proves
useful for an automatic test suite generation.
