Users & Access Management
Through the use of roles / profiles, you can manage the visibility on the data and what each user can do.
You can find below a brief description of the functionality of users and access management:
- Profiles: Profiles can be used to define user's access on modules, fields, and other actions (eg. Data Import/Export). You can also disable a module for a specific profile.
- Roles: Roles represent the hierarchical organization of system users.
- Users: A User is who perform the day-to-day activities using vteddy (for example, an employee of your organization). There are two types of users:
- Administrator (has access to register new users, assign applications, lock users, etc)
- Standard User (has limited access and can only use applications assigned by Administrator)
- Groups: Groups provide the ability to define structured access rights. In simple words, the groups are sets of multiple entities, such as roles, users, etc. You can manage different types of user groups within the system.
