Generalise the B-V plug-in to allow any band to be subtracted from any other band.
When VeLa's has boolean expressions, a filter could be specified to refine criteria for whether an observation is selected, other than whether they are the same observer and whether the time tolerance is met. Indeed, both of these could be replaced by a single filter. Hmm. this assumes that the expression language allows us to express a notion such as "observation pair" and comparisons between them.
