#426 Polynomial fit: should the maximum degrees be n-1 where n is the size of the series?

To permit the best possible fit to the data, it should in principle be possible to specify as many degrees as necessary. That should be one less than the number of data points in the series for which the fit is being created, right?

So the maximum slider value should be dynamic, accordingly.

    The number of degrees possible may be far less than series size due to floating point limitations.
