I've been meaning to make a 3.0 release branch and back out the change  
that broke analog devices in a cluster configuration. It is clear that  
no one has time to work on the proxy refactoring that would  
(potentially) fix the bug. It will probably have to wait for the next  
release (3.2, 4.0, whichever is appropriate).
