Hi,
I have been a long time user of TightVNC, in fact so long I don't remember how to set it up successfully. I just changed from Norton Internet Security to McAfee Security Suite 2008 and the TightVNC quit working. I can connect PC to PC inside my network using 192.168.... ip address but when I try to remote via the fixxed IP address from the outside, it doesn't respond. I'm sure its the firewall inside of McAfee because I have turned off the firewall and it worked but turning off the firewall is not acceptable. I'd like to open up the port and tried that but I must have done something wrong. It didn't work. I went to Advanced Firewall protection -> System Services -> and added a PORT definition. There you can specify the Inbound TCP/IP Port, Outbound TCP/IP Port, the Inbound UDP Port and Outbound UDP Port. I tried specifying the Inbound TCP/IP port as 5800 and 5900 and I specified the Outbound TCP/IP port as 5800 and 5900. What should I do to make this work?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Don
