i am Unable to Connect Outside Of Local Network, i
have turnedoff all firewalls and have 2 pc's set up
using tightvnc. i can connect to them both ways on
the local network. but as soon as i try to connect to
them from an outside connection. i cannot.
also as a test i tried doing loopback connections and
using not the local IP but the external.
My Router is a Bt Voyager 2100 wireless.
the port fwding site had somthing to say on the
router, but it didnt make any sence to me.

Just as a bit of information, what are the ports that you
are using currently for VNC (I ask because most change the
default).
I work for a large ISP and I know that there are a number of
ports that are blocked not only for security but for
bandwidth reserve reasons also. For instance it is default
for any ISP to comply with the blocking of TCP/UDP 137-139
for bandwidth reserve and Winsock security.
Depending on the individual ISP there may be a blockade in
your routing, whether it be a GSR, intern ATM router, or
individual node ACL in the route to and from your network
location.
