Actually, is there a way to install TightVNC without affecting my other VNC? I tried RPMs, but I had too many dependencies and conflicts. I would like to leave my original VNC alone. Can I compile the VNC locally (in a directory) without root access? I am a Linux newbie so I am not sure if this is complex.
