Hi Team, I have Dell Latitude 5450(Win11 24H2) laptop where I have Ethernet and WiFi both interfaces are connected and they are two different network. WiFi interface metric is lower than Ethernet interface metric.
My use case is, traffic originating from machine should go to WiFi interface by default.
When I want to carry any activity remotely I will VNC to this Dell machine on Ethernet IP and work on it.
Some how it looks like when I try to VNC remotely to this Dell machine, VNC is not working and I checked packet capture and it looks remote machine is sending some packets through Ethernet Interface and some packets through WiFi interface and that makes connectivity to not work the way it should work. On same machine if I do RDP or SSH it works as expected. If I disconnect WiFi then VNC starts working as expected. So I think problem is application specific only.
I have one more Dell Latitude 5430(Win11 24H2 same build as 5450) laptop where I am running same kind of setup Ethernet and WiFi connected same time and VNC is working as expected.
To me issue looks to be processor specific as 5450 is running somewhat latest Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 5 125U 3.60 GHz and TightVNC has some virtualization problem as this new proessor supports virtualization. Just my guess at this point.
