I upgraded this morning to TightVNC version 2.8.75, using chocolatey, on a Windows 10 machine.
The upgrade seemed to succeed. However, when I start vncviewer with an existing settings file, it connects to the server but starts with a black screen. The mouse pointer moves around but I would expect it to show a command line on the remote (linux) server.
It seems that vncviewer does not attach to the terminal session that is started by the TigerVNC server process on the remote machine. The server side setup has not changed.
This seems like a bug, or perhaps the settings file needs to change for this new version.
Thanks for your help!
Noticed the same problem here. Linux server running Xtigervnc, and 2.8.63 on Windows connects and works fine while 2.8.75 only shows a blank screen.
Similar issue. TightVNC version 2.8.75 on Win10 connecting to Linux X11vnc now starts black and flickers to see the screen only when the mouse moves. No longer useable. (Previous version did not do this).
Same problem here (connecting to Linux X11vnc).

could be used until the next release
Thanks Anton - works for me :-)
Thank you Anton - 2.8.77 works for me too.
