#1434 Version 2.8.8 doesn't work with mouse and keyboard
Dear all,
for the first time since Windows 98 I had a problem with a Tight VNC release (really a good record actually, maybe even you are the best, and I am a professional since 1983).
Yesterday I tried to install version 2.8.8, after uninstalling version 2.7.1, in Windows 7 Pro SP1 with all the upgrades up to date.
Everything seemed good at a first glance, screen was correctly updated and mouse was tracked correctly too, but actually neither mouse clicks, nor keyboard typing were accepted by the remote system.
I tried any possible combination: server as a service, server as an app, with and without Mirage driver, analyzed firewall, disabled firewall at all, tried several different parameters settings, which I don’t list here, but nothing worked.
Rolling back to version 2.7.1 everything ran correctly again.
This is just FYI, since I worked with version 2.7.1 for several years, and I can happily continue to do so.
