Using 2.0.4 viewer on Win7 Pro Sp1 32-bit to connect to 2.0.4 server on Win7 Pro SP1 64-bit. Both machines have all post-sp hotfixes delivered by Windows Update.

Background:
Local (viewer) machine is a 10" netbook at max resolution 1024x600. Remote (server) machine resolution is 1680x1050. TightVNC works very well in this combination overall. I don't use full screen mode, but run in "auto" viewer zoom mode, changing to 100% zoom whenever I need to 'zoom' in on details, then return to "auto" to see the full desktop again.

The issue:
Since switching between "auto" and 100% zoom requires several keystrokes, today I decided to try the remote machine's Win7 Magnifier utility while in "auto" viewer mode to see if that was more convenient. All of a sudden this became way too much fun as VNC was not able to track the cursor accurately any longer LOL

Naturally my first thought was to terminate the Magnifier, which of course requires sending Win+ESC which I can't do LOL. Next option was to click on the Magnifier's "magnifier glass" icon to bring up the mini control menu and quit the Magnifier that way. But I could not figure out where I needed to point my cursor to latch on to that "magnifier glass" icon and give it the focus... VNC kept shifting the screen view whenever I moved the cursor LOL

Finally I did figure out a spot where I could position my cursor and give the Magnifier's taskbar button the focus. I was then able to right-click and very carefully move the cursor sideways to the left, which highlighted the "close" menu option on the right-click shortcut menu. One careful left-click click and the Magnifier was finally no more. This maneuver took me about 15 minutes to achieve... whew...

I'd love to have a button on the toolbar that would drop down the viewer zoom modes or allow typing of a custom zoom factor. This would make switching between "auto" and another zoom factor so quick and easy. But, if that button already existed, I would never have had the excitement of trying out the Magnifier utility instead :-D
