At channel 10 i can't hear any sound coming from the piano while pushing one of the 16 first notes.The same about the small black notes-the sound starts from the 12th button.Is it suppossed to be that way?
VMPK does not produce any sound by itself. All sounds depend on the synthesizer that it is connecting to. As you don't tell which synthesizer you are using, nor even the operating system name, it is not possible to help you further with precision.
Assuming that you are a Windows user, and that VMPK connects to the MS Wavetable Synth, then the answer is yes, that is probably the way it is supposed to be. Many synths follow the the General MIDI standards specification, with only some note numbers mapped to a percussion instrument.
