After starting the project, when you're looking for volunteers, the list of volunteers comes up before the refining search field. If there were 900 available volunteers from all over the world it would involve a lot of scrolling (and perhaps the user wouldn't even have the patience) to find the "refine search" choices at the bottom of the list. I would suggest putting the search refiner on top of the list of volunteers. This could be consolidated as well...it is relatively bulky and large. Make the refine search options fit tighter together and take up less space.
