The main functional difference between this and 2.2 is the overhaul of Pixmap rendering, but I just completed a major overhaul of the build system as well, which now uses CMake instead of our clunky GNU Make-based system. I am asking everyone to test this pre-release to make sure I haven't screwed something up in the build. http://www.virtualgl.org/DeveloperInfo/PreReleases There won't be a 2.2.2-- not enough bug fixes to justify it (the clients, for instance, haven't changed at all since 2.2.1.) Thus, please file feature requests and bug reports for anything you want to see in 2.3. Running KDE 4 with compiz in TigerVNC is on my radar-- donations are needed to support that effort. The development of the CMake-based build system was also unsponsored work, so if your organization sees value in that, please donate.
