#43 moving frame boundaries

Just to put this on the record for the future - but I think after the more urgent issues like search, nesting, etc are sorted. Could it be possible to move frame boundaries around, to allow users to customise how the window appears, and allocate most space to whatever they're most interested in, e.g. stack, annotation, search results, tree, etc?
