#9 could not start desktop service

as win xp is loading, I get an error window with the
message could not start the Desktop service. which
is odd because it's been working fine for months. the
only change was that I stopped error reporting service
and disk management software service. and tried
installing virtual desktop 1.02 (even though the installer
keeps refering to 1.01) and uninstalling it and
reinstalling it (any version) to no avail. Also tried
restarting the mentionned services, nothing. Are there
any services that need to be running or tied to
desktoploader.exe for it to work?

nevermind had to uninstall service manually but I
reinstalled and it's working again.
By the way, request feature: user defined explorer
number (as in 2 desktop instead of 4)
