#11 Violet won't start, only splash-screen visible

In version 0.20, Violet won't run after having edited a file using special german chars (öäü). Violets Splash Screen shows up, console output is attached to this bug report.
After re-editing the recent file with a text-editor and replacing the bad chars, Violet starts up fine.
