Introduce html5 as optional feature. Start as optional to avoid breaking existing scripts.

Skip the option for now and just go for it. Can add an option for old style if bugs pop up in the future. Use new issues for any problems this causes.

Now using HTML 5 by default as of 746e574 and 03a5cb9
