Hi, I have the same problem. When I hit <F5> in insert mode and choose an environment (doesn't matter which one) there is a redundant " before the cursor. I'm using vim-latexsuite 20060325-4.1 on Ubuntu Hardy (installed from the Ubuntu repos). Is there a big difference between this version and the current svn version? I don't know if I'd better upgrade or not, I made quite a few customizations so I don't know if it would matter that much anyway (I replaced most math functionalities with shortcuts and combo's for linguists). Where can I find the subversion repository? Hi everybody: I am a user of latex-suite on VIM 7.2(modified by gentoo). I found a strange problem. When I press F5 and choose equation environment, I found I got \begin{equation} " \label{<++>} \end{equation}<++> There is a strange " . So I have to manually delete it by pressing backspace. You know this reduces my efficiency greatly. Since I met similar problem on debian/suse also I guess this has nothing to do with the platform. I searched on internet and found some people met similar problem but none had solutions. So could you please give me some possible ways to solve this annoying problem? Thank you. Peng Shao |

My understanding is that handling <alt> is, in general, very inconsistent from terminal to terminal. In gvim, <alt-i> and similar shortcuts seem to work just fine. In terminals though, vim can't necessarily access the <alt> at all. You may want to try the following line in ~/.vim/ftplugin/tex.vim: imap <buffer> é <Plug>Tex_InsertItemOnThisLine (let us know if this works) Mike Richman On Tue, Mar 31, 2009 at 10:52 PM, zhang zhengquan <zha...@gm...> wrote: > Dear vim latex community, > > I use mlterm as my terminal and vim-latex-suite to write latex documents. > > in insert mode alt-i would insert an e acute which is exactly opposite > to this faq > > http://vim-latex.sourceforge.net/index.php?subject=faq&title=FAQ#faq-e-acute > > I would like an \item inserted. > > I will not use e acute so could anybody tell me how to disable it? > > I used latexSuite20060325.tar.gz to install latexsuite. > > and I am running vim version 7.2.130 on debian sid. > > Thanks for any pointers, > > Z > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > _______________________________________________ > Vim-latex-devel mailing list > Vim...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/vim-latex-devel > |

Dear vim latex community, I use mlterm as my terminal and vim-latex-suite to write latex documents. in insert mode alt-i would insert an e acute which is exactly opposite to this faq http://vim-latex.sourceforge.net/index.php?subject=faq&title=FAQ#faq-e-acute I would like an \item inserted. I will not use e acute so could anybody tell me how to disable it? I used latexSuite20060325.tar.gz to install latexsuite. and I am running vim version 7.2.130 on debian sid. Hi, I want to install this on student linux labs where many students log in. They should not have to do anything to get it (like installing stuff in their home dir). Is this possible? I prefer putting things in separate locations, but can also script changes in existing files if this is necessary, but I do not wish to alter the files in the home dirs. I use profile.d-skripts to set environment variables and aliases if this is necessary. Kindly regards Bjorge Solli University of Bergen, Norway |

Hello, I've a problem with russian input with utf8. I got some weirdness "<8b>g²" instead of chars. In english all input works just fine. Without vim-latex this problem doesn't reproduced. This problem looks similar to: http://marc.info/?l=vim&m=114307450126576&w=2 and http://www.mail-archive.com/vim...@li.../msg00460.html But I can't find any answers there. Can anybody help with this, cos this looks like any cyrillic input is unavailable now :( Thanks. -- With best regards, Ushakov Dmitriy |

Sorry to write to this list; I couldn't find a vim-latex-user one. I've been using vim-latex for quite a long time and at some point cite completions sopped working properly. If I use a .bib file, it works fine. But otherwise, if I have a \begin{thebibliography} inside the .tex file, it just does nothing. Apparently texviewer.vim uses only the function Tex_FindBibFiles() and it does not search inside the .tex file. Is this the intended behaviour? Thanks in advance, -- Matías Graña ma...@dm... |

On windows vim is installed to "C:\Program Files\Vim\" which has spaces in it. This causes F9 \ref completion to fail. The attached patch is against the SVN trunk of texviewer.vim and fixes the issue. There may be other places where this is an issue, if I come across them I will fix them and submit patches. Tom |

I am resubmitting my patch from a few weeks ago with [PATCH] in the subject line. In both the most recent release (latexSuite20060325.tar.gz) and in the SVN trunk, calling Tex_ViewLaTeX() multiple times on Mac OS X causes the s:viewer variable to get '-a ' prepended to it each time Tex_ViewLaTeX() is called. This means that Tex_ViewLaTeX() only works every other time it is called. My patch fixes this by changing the code that constructs the `open' command to insert the '-a ' string without modifying s:viewer. Attached should be two patches: * against_release.diff is a patch against the latexSuite20060325.tar.gz archive hosted on the http://vim-latex.sourceforge.net download page. * against_trunk.diff is the same patch, but against the subversion trunk. Hi all, I am on Mac OS X Leopard. When I try to use F9 for completion, something weird happens. I am prompted correctly with all the possibile choices for the labels. Also the outline (or preview) is shown correctly. When I press ENTER to select one, though, I am brought back to the document I was editing, in the correct place, but the completion hasn't happened. Any idea as to why this happens? Best. Daniele |

Are you using vim or gvim? I would be surprised if you had the problems in a GUI vim. Have you tried: :redr! ? I suspect that would fix the problems in terminal vim. --Ted On 2/27/09 10:45 AM, Lauri Oksanen wrote: > Hello, > > First of all the contact form at > http://vim-latex.sourceforge.net/index.php?subject=contact&title=Contact > is not working for me. Hello, First of all the contact form at http://vim-latex.sourceforge.net/index.php?subject=contact&title=Contact is not working for me. It keeps saying that I haven't entered values in the required fields altough I have filled every field. My actual problem is the following. I ran Latex with \ll and got some errors. After I closed the windows reporting the errors, the window displaying the tex file I'm editing scrolls strangely. The window keeps centered to the row the cursor is in. It is like hitting zz after each j or k. Is there some quick fix for this? - Lauri |

Hello, I am facing a problem with the quickfix window which appears if compiling a latex doc fails with an error or warning. As far as I understand pressing 'Enter' should bring the cursor to the corresponding line in the latex doc, but this isn't happening in my case: Using the arrow buttons to scroll the errors in the quickfix window makes the log file appear in preview mode underneath, but pressing 'Enter' only makes this preview window disappear again. Any hints or suggestions what I am doing wrong or what setting is faulty? Andreas |
