#134 Real time changes during alpha slider adjust

I have notice that when adding a map like Bing satellite and then going to change the default OSM alpha it doesn't update the view port until you hit okay. resulting in going back and forth until you see the right alpha settings.
Is it possible to have the view port update while changing the alpha slider

Agreed, it is slightly annoying.

I've wanted to add an 'Apply' button to property dialogs, so you can see any new settings in action without the dialog being closed.

However I couldn't see it fitting in easily with the current code structure and thus would require some more rework than I was willing to put in at the last time I was thinking about it.

An apply button has been added to the layer parameters dialog.

Thus now you can see the change (including the Alpha setting) without closing/reopening dialog.
