Hi there,

(i posted this on the devel mailinglist too)

i happily found a win 0.9.92 edition on sourceforge today :-) (using 0.9.8 up to now which has some small bugs but works for me)

i use winxp prof. sp3

I've a problem with the windows version of viking (0.9.92) ... I don't see the map tiles (osm mapnik style is what i tried out).

What I found out: The tiles are stored as *.tmp files but viking needs * files (without any extension). That's what it was like in 0.9.8. If i
delete the extensions now with 0.9.92, i can see the map tiles - until I refresh them - than they are stored as <number>.tmp files again - and
don't show up

any chance to fix that?

well, what I see also: flushing the map cache doesn't delete the files in the web cache ... no matter if they have an extension or not ...

(mailinglist comment was rejected - but I hope, this is the right place here for the report)

I confirm observation. While version 0.9.90 works fine under Windows xp, all newer version 0.9.91-0.9.93 do not show any maps.

still the same with 0.9.93 (didn't check, if it's still because of the file endings but I think so ...) can I help with something to fix this?

I applied a patch submitted by Mathieu Albinet.

Do you have any way to test the current version of viking in the Git repo?
