    Hi, I'm using the video screensaver but there's text displaying "When fullscreen, control volume with up/down arrows or mouse wheel". The text never goes away - is there any way to hide it? It kind of defeats the whole point of my screen saver. Thanks!

    Hi, I haven't used this application in a while but I recently found a new video that I would like to set as my screensaver. The app itself is working properly and works for my current video but when I first used it I remember using Windows console commands to save videos from Youtube to use as my screensaver.     I have the exact same problem. I was able to have the screensaver working on my work computer, but when I tried to do it at home I got the same error message. I tried to right click and install it , but that didn't work and I still received the same error message. My .NET framework is up to date so I'm not sure what is wrong. Does anyone have any idea how to fic it because I'd love to have the screensaver on my home computer too. Thanks for any help.

    Sorry, I think this screensaver is done for unless the developer fixes it. From what I can tell microsoft have recently updated windows 10 and it has completely broken it. Im fairly sure this is the case because I normally defer updates to windows 10 for a month or more but today i reinstalled and full updated window 10 with the latest updates.     I've just noticed I've got the same problem. However for me this used to work. When I first installed VideoScreensaver last year my computer wouldn't sleep on it's own while it was running, but I found a thread in this very forum from someone with the same issue and it was suggested to change the Power plan advanced settings; under multimedia settings change "When sharing media" to "allow computer to sleep".     Do you know of a way I could install a second instace of this? This app workd PERFECTLY for what I wanted. But now Im greedy. I have multiple monitors, and if I could just install this same same, a second time, I'd be ecstatic. I saw there was an "alternate" download in the comment before this, but it didn't seem to be a valid file anymore.

This video I import in Video Screensaver : 1080/1920 25i/s .H264 .MP4 My windows 10 desk is in 9/16 and when the screensaver goes "on", there are 3sec black screen before the video and after the video, with Video Screensaver solution.     Thanks Jon, sorry to not get back sooner, but appreciate your advice. I will give it a try but have a couple software programs that will not function if the computer is set to sleep and get annoyed when watching or recording video's and the computer shuts down. Will see if the new setting is accepatable pretty soon.

    Start>type "settings">Power and Sleep tab>additional power settings>change plan settings>change advanced power settings>multimedia settings>when sharing media>allow the computer to sleep I found that the default setting "prevent idling to sleep" treats the screensaver like a media player and prevents the screen from turning off. Once changed, the regular display power-down and sleep functions work fine. The caveat to that is now.... your screen will turn off if you are watching ANY video...

    Hello Michael, Thank you for coding this when microsoft did not recognise the need. I was able to download and install into my Windows folder and the chosen video will play after the set time period however the programming seems to block the functionality of the Windows 10 Screen timeout and Sleep Settings. Hopefully I have the latest version installed correctly. If so would it be possible to make these features compatible with video the way the default photo display seems to function ?

    Also need this capability. It's a great program, but needs to be able to duplicate the screensaver across extended displays. One or two settings wouldn't go amiss (such as settings to permanently mute for example), and one more feature that would just perfect things is to replicate a feature of a program called MonitorES which starts the screensaver instantly upon locking the computer.
