I am curious why the SDL version of X128 does not open two screens like the GTK version? Is there a technical reason or was it a design choice? Wondering if it would be possible to optionally have it open 2 windows (one for VDC one for VIC2) like its GTK sister?

in video settings you can enable dual window mode
