VICE core error: Failed to save settings to default file. The VICE was installed from the Flatpack, on Linux Mint 19 XFCE 64bit. The settings file seems to be missing or an incorrect path is set in the manifest?
i think you should contact whoever made this "flatpack" (whatever it is)
it also sounds like you are using some kind of emulator frontend, which is the root of the problem here (the error message isnt from VICE)

i am closing this, it seems to be a packaging issue that we can not solve - and no further info is provided
According to the flatpak devs/maintainers, this now works after XDG basedir spec support was added to archdep.
