How practical would it be to implement some sort of tag support? My knowledge of formats such as ADX and DSP is limited, but I'm going to assume that they don't (and can't?) support the metadata additions that this would require (correct me if I'm wrong).
With that said, how easily could vgmstream be made to access the info from the NTFS filesystem? For example, using the "Comments" or "Author" field? (Now, this brings up a problem, in that the info will all disappear whenever the files are compressed into a .zip or .7z, unless there's a way around it. I'd still use it, though.)
Embedding the tags in the main portion of the file (so it would be recognizable by FAT16, etc) would be ideal, again, if it's possible (which seems unlikely).
This whole thing might just be silly, but I just figured I'd toss it out there.
PS: The relatively-new folder recognition (so it displays "foldername - song" as the title) feature added earlier this year (I think) is a welcome compromise. :)
