For several reasons the next Beta release is going to be delayed. That release will also have some database changes so a completed install will be needed. We will try to get the release out as soon as posiible but it will be a long delay.

Thank you for your patience.

New Versions Exposed Many Problems

By upgrading to mySQL 5.7.12 and PHP 5.6.21 many problems were exposed that were not problems in previous versions. While this has been a pain debugging it is good in the long run because it will provide accurate data retrieved and stored.

I thank you for your patience while I am fixing the problems and making VetClinic the best application it can be. As always, when the Beta is released in a few days, PLEASE report any problems in Tickets and I will get them fixed as quickly as possible.... read more

PetClinic Becomes VetClinic

Well, we have gone full circle. PetClinic is being renamed to VetClinic. As the project grew and more species and breeds were added, it became obvious that the project was more than a Pet Clinic Management Software. It was more a Vet Clinic Management Software. We are adding more species and breeds as we go along.

If there are any breeds or species or features that you would like to see added let us know.

Weekly Downloads

I have been having trouble getting the client maint to work properly but I have just found the problem. I do not want to upload weekly builds until I am sure there are enough working parts to make it worth while for you to download. I hope to have a weekly build for you in 7 to 10 days.

Thank you for your patience.

Alpha1a

As promised the Alpha1a file is available. Still only tested the install but it means I am now moving on to the application itself. I will be working on the maintenance and listing protion of the application. When that is done and tested I will upload Alpha2.

VeNom Procedures

I finally received permission from the Royal Veterinary College to use the VeNom codes. There is a wealth of information in the codes. These codes will be in the next Alpha release.

Progress is being made!

Progress is being made towards the new Alpha version. I am thinking of releasing an Alpha1a in the next week.

I am happy to announce that a developer/tester named Paul has joined the project. He has barely started on the project and has already offered very helpful suggestions. Hopefully we can get the Alpha releases done quickly and get a Beta version released.

Keep checking here for the latest news.

Everything is Fixed!

Somewhere along the way I must have changed something to make the wrong file available. After a few messages with SF Support I have deleted the files as they were and have now restructured the download area. There are now Alpha Builds and Weekly Builds. Use caution when using these files as they are NOT for production use. I will be making a Beta Build and a Production Build in the future.

Thanks for trying Pet Clinic Management Software.

Incorrect File Download

Thanks to someone contacting me, today I found out that the download is incorrect. While Rapla is used in my project, it is not the main file download. I submitted a ticket on SF and hopefully that will be corrected soon. I appreciated your patience in waiting.

Meanwhile I am working on the ALPHA 2. This will cover the maintenance and listing features.

There is also a new support email address. petclinic.email@gmail.com

Getting Closer

I have completed the process to create SNOMED databases and tables and to insert the SNOMED data. It was a real learning process. Evidently VeNom is not going to grant me a license to use their procedures. That is unfortunate but that is life.

I have used a few SF projects integrated into this project to make it successful. I wish to thank the authors for their assiatance in getting the projects integrated smoothly.... read more

Why am I doing this Project

There are a couple of reasons I am doing this project. I got started by responding to a post to help with the WebVet project. The name was changed to VetClinic and development started. Due to various issues I decided to branch out on my own. After notifying the VetClinic project manager I set up an account on GitHub and then on SF.

So now I am redoing a lot of what I did for VetClinic. I am now using JQuery along with PHP. It is basically a Windows platform using WAMP, JQuery, and PHP. I am currently working on the install process by adding tabs and form validation. It is going along slowly but I am getting there. Looking for help programming and testing. (See the Help Wanted ads.)... read more
