if you are in any case dig in to the plugin code, may be you will look to possibility, to support not only CVS but also SVN?
It looks like, this plugin uses CVS routines to calculate the tree. But it should be possible to implement it as a view on History View. And then it doesn't matter from which source comes the History (CVS or SVN or something else), we can build a tree based on the info from the History View only.
It just a high-level idea, but it would be great if you manage to implement it.

We are not using SVN so currently I do not have plans to support it, sorry
