Hi Mounir,
I noticed two bugs when mounting successfully mounting volumes when caching the outer password.
Bug 1: Mounting Volume with Option to Protect Hidden Volume Password Incorrect Gives No Error
- Mount first volume with password caching.
- Mount second volume using the Volumes > Mount Volume with Options > Enable Protect Hidden Volume.
- Enter the incorrect password for protect hidden volume. The volume has the same outer password as the first volume.
- You will simply get the first password dialog screen without the cached password instead of first receiving the customary error pop-up box.
Bug 2: Caching No Longer Used After Entering Incorrect Protect Hidden Volume Password
- Mount first volume with password caching.
- Mount second volume using the Volumes > Mount Volume with Options > Enable Protect Hidden Volume.
- Enter the incorrect password for protect hidden volume. The volume has the same outer password as the first volume.
- You will simply get the first password dialog screen and caching is not possible for the outer volume causing the user to cancel the mount operation and start again using Volumes > Mount Volume with Options > Enable Protect Hidden Volume so they do not have reenter the outer password.
- Should return to the Enable Protect Hidden Volume screen while leaving the outer password cached for a retry of the protect hidden volume password.
Kind Regards,
Enigma2Illusion
PS: The same problems occur if the wrong PIM, Keyfile(s) or hash is used in the Enable Protect Hidden Volume screen.
