Hello!

I'm having a problem accessing my files on VeraCrypt hidden volume. I created this volume on my Windows 10 PC doing the following:

  1. Created an encrypted file container
  2. Choosed volume type 'Hidden VeraCrypt colume'
  3. Set file location
  4. Leaved default algorithms (AES, SHA-512)
  5. Set password for outer volume
  6. Copied files to the outer volume
  7. Set password to the hidden one
  8. Copied my confidential data to the hidden volume
Then I used my data many times, added the new files to the hidden volume and everything was perfect. But recently I have re-installed my Windows and now when I mount my container I can see the files, but I can't open them and there is padlock icon on those files. I see the following error when opening them: 'User does not have access privileges'. When I right click on a file and choose 'Personal' in a File ownership submenu of opened context menu I see popup window with heading '1 Interrupted Action' and text 'An expected error is keeping you from applying properties to the file. If you continue to receive this error, you can use the error code to search for help with this problem. Error: 0x80071771: The specified file could no be decrypted'. When I open the properties of such file and select Advanced properties I see that there is a checkmark 'Encrypt contents to secure data'. I can't remove this checkmark because of the same error. If I click to Details next to this checkmark I see 'Users who can access this file' and one user in the list. It is my previous user, that I used to login in my Window before re-install. There is also certificate thumbprint indicated near the user name. I have never done anything other than the above steps, I have not used any additional encryption tools, including the capabilities built into Windows.

Please, help me to get access to my sensitive data. I did everything according to the manuals, I don't remember that there was some cautions regarding windows reintall when using file container. I didn't expect that some other thing but password can be needed to access the file on VeraCrypt volume when using file container. The data is very important for me and am looking forward to your answer. Thanks!
